Meridian School

The project site was previously an industrial manufacturing building with large process areas and loading dock. The architecture design transformed the loading dock into a large planter and main entry for the school, overhead door openings became large windows, and an open field transformed into a play ground.

The Structura team successfully completed 55,000 SF of demo and finish out in just 10 weeks. It took three to four weeks to complete the demolition with crews working night and weekends. This fast-paced renovation included new classrooms, cafeteria, school library and gymnasium. Environmental advancements included reroofing the building, adding new HVAC systems, and installation of 13 4×8 skylights to bring natural light into the corridors of the space, reducing energy needs for lighting.
