Structura provided design-build services on the MEP package for these first two buildings of an eight-building, 20 acre light industrial park development.

This project features two 33,000 SF warehouses with 3,000 SF of finished out office space. The buildings are crane-served metal buildings with a tilt-wall skin and standing-seam metal roofs. The warehouses are crane ready (up to 20 tons), equipped with 400 amp, 3 phase power and feature 12′ x 14′ doors and a clear height of 28′.

One challenging aspect to this project was addressing the exceptionally wet, “gumbo” soil on site. We cleared the site early in the development process, hoping to allow the sun to dry out the earth, and then utilized lime stabilization to improve the subgrade for the building pads and paving.
