Structura has completed three Gold’s Gyms. Each new location starts with the prototype, which is then modified for the specific site. The facilities include a large area of cardio/strength/fitness equipment, as well as a cycle studio and an aerobic studio. The amenity spaces include Cardio Cinema, Gold’s Fit®, a versatile space for cross-training and a Kid’s Club®. The areas are highlighted by the use of energetic forms, colors and graphics and are organized around the centrally located cardio/strength/fitness floors. Through the use of similar floor finishes and ceiling treatments, the overall aesthetics of the facilities are tied together. The downtown Austin facility was particularly challenging because the multiple levels of the old building required extensive updating. Re-purposed gym bleachers were used as feature walls.
